I do have a silvered red bulb for mot time but I have a friendly Mot tester who knows what I do and has never actually made me fit it.
Its not like I ever really drive it in fog, certainly not fog bad enough to require the fog light
This thought had also crossed my mind. I went a bit mental on amazon last night and ordered a huge amount of stuff (mostly non-car related) but got silver indicator bulbs, a new red bulb and the best rated LED replacement lamp and I'll see which works the best.

Well they've turned up - proof of the pudding will be later tonight when I fit them. Certainly straight out of the box they look identical; even came with chrome-bulbs already installed!

Simply losing the orange is such a transformation. It takes years off the car in my (somewhat biased) opinion.

Have you considered loosing the French fries, I've got the same lights on mine in the same Ti Silver and think it looks way better. I know not everyone agrees with me on this, but for me, especially on the lighter colours the fries look a bit "add on". A bit like when folks put eyebrows on headlights.

Totally agree with you on this, usual BS BMW product marketing. Using the orange on the pre's gave them something dramatic to offer on the facelift cars

I have thought about it but currently I like the way the slice of orange breaks up the front of the car a bit - otherwise it would be all one colour (silver) and look a bit bland imo. Never say never though.

The french fries are actually the little strips of silver plastic on your rear lights, but I do know what your saying about the front. I used to think like that until I saw an old forums members Bradders car on here. I was then sold on clears all around on a silver prefacelift.
Here's the car I mean.

Oh yeah of course; knew that but not sure why I confused the two. I actually had to take the sterling grey french fries off the lights when they arrived; left my silver frenchies off a day or two but wasn’t convinced so stuck them back on

were any of you capable of coding the second reverse light to be on along with the standard one?
