M-Sport seats

Post by tuco » Wed Jul 03, 2019 7:48 pm

So I'm looking for some M-sport seats ( 4th attempt ) there aren't many around and they all seem to be silly money for worn seats, before i spaff the cash are there any newer seats that are heated and bolt in with minimum fuss ?

I fitted these m sport seats out an e46 not long ago. Absolute doddle to do. £100 well spent.

I'm sure someone on here fitted some Mazda RX8 seats with some fairly minor fettling, and they looked pretty good - plus were much cheaper than M-Sport ones.

Might be worth a search to find the thread.

RX8 Seats are super comfortable too.

What I would like are seats that are cooled, can't abide heated seats. Anyone ever fitted Lexus cooled seats?

I am looking too and unfortunately in APAC, they are rarer than hens teeth! They are a bit like 224 alloys too where there is certainly a premium added to them for sure. There was a set of seats on eBay recently for 950 odd which is the cheapest I have seen them for a while. I asked whether they ship to NZ but it was a non-starter. They look so good ......

Heres the thread for the RX8 seats, they look good - viewtopic.php?f=2&t=109867&p=1588575&hilit=RX8#p1588575

Only problem would be finding a leather set I would imagine

RX8 seats still need a fair bit of work to fit, i really only have the skills for a bolt in solution  any more and I'll have to pay someone to fit them.

There are some photos of E36 M3 Vaders that (with very minor modifications to seat rails) have been fitted into z4s

viewtopic.php?f=2&t=114336&sid=497d6fc2 ... 867c286a0f

But since Vaders are so expensive and hard to find, it might be worth considering that the E36 5 point adjustable sports seats could also fit and be found more easily?

RX8 Seats sit perfect, are comfortable and cheap. A bit of a faf fitting them though.
