CDV Valve Removal

High all,

Quick question, does removing the CDV valve lighten the clutch pedal pressure.

Thanks

It will do, but I can't say that the change in pedal weight leapt out at me after the removal.

CDV Valve Removal

I have a question to add.
Is it possible to use a tube clamp or similar at any point along the line to limit or avoid the fluid to leak out while you're doing it?

Leakage is minimal anyway. It's a very quick job

Can someone confirm if I will need to bleed the system if clamping the hose?

Ideally yes, there will always be some fluid loss (either from the hose side or from the slave cylinder side).
But bleeding is simple, there is a bleed screw on the slave cylinder.
Have the clutch pressed (either by a person or a stick), and just open that bleedscrew a bit so fluid is pressed out with any air present.

Its the little stick with rubber cap pointing out, you can put a small wrench on it.
When opening there will probably also be some leakeage from where the bleedpipe scews in, but thats ok.
You can put a hose on that bleedpipe to exactly see if only fluid and no bubbles come out (and if needed bleed multiple times, pumping up the clutch a few times before opening it again), but usually just opening the screw and letting some liquid out is enough
