What’s the difference
Now I know that this might sound like a dumb question, but what’s the difference between the E85 and the E86 ?
I have looked on the forum but couldn’t quite find the answer to this question.
Cheers
Mark

As has been said the e86 is the coupe. So a much larger boot but no ability to put the top down and enjoy the sun
The e86 was brought in with the facelift update and only ever had the 3.0 n52 engine (3.0SI) excluding the M variant.

Don't upset the M owners! The E86 was also available with the S54 engine.Silverzedtom wrote: ↑Sat Mar 16, 2019 9:26 pm The e86 was brought in with the facelift update and only ever had the 3.0 n52 engine (3.0SI)

One makes a great daily taxi for a dog and a push bike. The other let's the sun and the stars in.

If you don’t mind compromising on looks and work in a hairdressers go for the E85 otherwise if you can afford the additional cost for the premium Z4 product the E86 is the one to go for
