SWMBO and I are doing the same but in August.
Already started planning and and there are loads of videos on YouTube of people suggesting things to go and see along the route, so definitely check those out.
Up the east coast there are loads of nice beaches, such as at Acmelvich. I assume you are driving up Baelach Na Na and there is a view point along the way somewhere.
There is a place called Neptune's Staircase which might be with a look just near Fort William, and also the Glenfinnan Viaduct (train bridge from Harry Potter) near there as well, but might be a bit far south depending on your route.
Just near Ullapool there is a place called Corrieshalloch Gorge which looks good.
Something I want to do is try and spot some Puffins, and you might catch then just at the beginning of their mating season so they might be around.
Good luck with the planning and have fun!

Fond memories from my my teenage cycling days. Must find time to take the Zed around the Northern section. Fantastic route, Enjoy?

You're gonna love it - I've done parts of the west loop around Ullapool, stunning roads
You may want to take a detour and travel the A838 - it was featured on the Grand Tour recently, its on my to do list hopefully next year
Take lots of pics and keep us posted

Cut out the NE and come down the middle via Lairg, Tomintoul, Braemar, Glenshee. I don’t know a good route around Inverness. A9 is best if you only have 4 days, unless someone knows a decent alternative?
Also make sure you follow fast cars at a distance. The roads are good but your bumper will get shot blasted if you’re in convoy!
Enjoy it. Haven’t been for a while now and I’m getting the itch again.

Speaking of Durness, there is a John Lennon memorial garden there. It’s been let go a bit. Apparently the former head of the school looked after it but he has moved from the area. The beach and dunes at Durness is a must.

You’ll love it I did it last year and it was one of the best holidays I have ever done.
When I do it again though I’ll avoid the east cost though, the west coast has soo much more to offer and is one of the most beautiful places on earth.
Enjoy it and don’t forget the pics

I did a tour of Scotland back in 2008 shortly after I bought my 123d, and it was fantastic!
I didn't go North of Inverness, but I had to go there as my Dad was born in Muir of Ord!
Such a treat to find some deserted open roads.
Skye was definitely a highlight - we went over on the ferry and came back over the bridge.
Every time I read threads like this or see Marlon's photos I want to do it again in a Z4.
It's just a shame I'd have to go over 300 miles just to get to Scotland.
