We are all going round in circles. I have requested Zoltan Blenessy to send me a set of them £289 for a pair delivered, hopefully. When they turn up I will post some pictures. If they are any use I may use them depending on what a body shop says about filling in, painting and fitting. If a body shop is excessive they will go on ebay and I will just have to take the hit. If they are not suitable quality or reverse fitment back to standard isn't possible, again they will get chucked on ebay. We need to try and move this forward and get some sort of an option. There are no OEM parts and simillar parts that can be modified also seem tricky. I am willing to give Zoltan and these parts chance. Lets see if I get a confirmed order and shipment date for starters.

I hope it all works out..... I really really want some - I’d ordered and paid for a pair from BMW who said at the time they were available, only to be disappointed by them.
Good luck, and please keep the forum updated with progress

I’ve emailed modello twice; zero replies. I’m guessing they have no interest in export sales

Sorry I haven’t got back to you. I read this when I was in San Marino a bit worse for wear with the tartan army. I will take you up on this soon. What did you do with your old ones?ScoobyR1 wrote: ↑Sun Mar 24, 2019 11:42 pmHi thereSgr74 wrote: ↑Wed Mar 13, 2019 11:39 am I’ve got a feeling that I’m not going to accidentally stumble upon a pair of aero skirts that are available for reasonable money, so I’ve decided I’m going to alter my standard ones. Is there anyone in the Fife or Lothian area that has aero skirts that I can get an mdf profile of. I just need a closer look at the shape. I promise I won’t damage anything.
I'm just south of Edinburgh, Gorebridge if you want to check out my aero skirts, which were actually the last ones sold in the UK ! Oct 17
When I come to sell the car I will be removing these.
Anyhoo if you want to come over you're welcome.
Cheers Stuart

I've still got the original ones tucked away ready for refitting when I come to sell my car.

I might be able to find a solution to the shipping limitations.davros wrote: ↑Wed Mar 20, 2019 9:55 pm Oh no, that’s bad news with the madmotor skirts. I was really hoping that may be a solution. I guess they must leave the original skirts in situ and just rivet them over the top, which wouldn’t look good.
There is a company in the USA who make FRP copies of the BMW Aero skirts and appear to have all the fitting tabs of the originals. Unfortunately they told me they don’t ship to the UK
Good luck with the search for some doner skirts. Hopefully some one on the forum may have some old ones taking up valuable space
It would be great to organise a group but and group shipment

I’m up for it and have contacts in the USA who have a shipping company. Maybe they could help if we organise a group buy.Sgr74 wrote: ↑Wed Mar 20, 2019 11:58 pmWas ModeloDrive the company in the states?Coffee331 wrote: ↑Wed Mar 20, 2019 11:20 pmI got the same reply from that US company re the shipping. I wonder if we could line up enough people in a group buy would they find a way to ship to the UK?davros wrote: ↑Wed Mar 20, 2019 9:55 pm Oh no, that’s bad news with the madmotor skirts. Count me in...
As mentioned in another post I have contacts in the USA and they may be able to help with the shipping.
Let’s organise a group buy and see

I've been working in composites for a while and am setting up on my own.
Anyone here interested in a group buy of these produced in carbon?

Sure you'll have lots of interest. If you're serious then I would strongly recommend setting up a fresh thread, as you're unlikely to get much attention on page 4 of a year and a half old thread and also it will give others confidence that if you can be bothered to go to the trouble of setting up a new and dedicated thread then you can also be bothered to produce some quality itemsMissing Ethics wrote: ↑Wed Sep 09, 2020 12:30 pm Stand by.
