After replacing the brake pads and bleeding again the brakes were fantastic. I'm just gonna be rely careful and only disable the steering angle sensor when on track.
I now have a leaky driveshaft. Keeps popping out of the diff by 10-15mm. Hoping it just needs a new snap ring.

Definitely another close call in the earlier laps with the spinner and so close at the end .

Got around to looking at this today. Unfortunately it's a right pain to remove the diff output flange:
1. Remove diffuser
2. Remove pull rod
3. Remove exhaust
4. Disconnect driveshaft from output flange
5. Disconnect damper lower mount
6. Disconnect upper wishbone from upright
7. Remove rear anti roll bar
And then remove the diff output flange!
As suspected, the snap ring was deformed and not holding the driveshaft in place.
Refitted as above and then topped up the diff oil. Needed more than I expected so the diff has run for a while with probably insufficient lubrication/cooling. Bugger. Let's hope it holds out.

Hi Liam22, just checking, are you still heading to Snetterton in October?
Sunday 10th seems to ring a bell?

Short update.
Final Roadsports race of the year last weekend. Back at Snetterton for the second time this year, and still carrying 10s success penalty. I had some great advice from a member on here about modifying the front splitter for a bit more front downforce. Car felt good in qualifying but didn't manage to put a proper lap together. Qualified 2nd in class B with quite a big gap to P1.
The race was better. Took the class lead at turn 2 and pulled out >10s gap before the pit stops. Kept the lead and took another class win with fastest lap, and set a new lap record for class B

You can see the splitter mod in this photo - vertical fences in front of the wheels.
You can also see that I'm missing a kidney grill.
Accidentally tapped a Porsche Cayman with epic turbo lag, as it failed to accelerate out of Oggies. The bumper took a bit of damage so removed it for repairs. Good job I did because otherwise I would not have noticed the coolant expansion tan is leaking. I'm going to assume it's the usual problem, so a new tank on order. Appears to be leaking from the lower heater connection. Where is the usual leak source?
I have one more race this year - BRSCC Clubsport Trophy at Anglesey supporting the Race of Remembrance in November.

Well done Liam, as it turns out I couldn't have made it anyway.
Shame as it seems you had a better day this time round.
So where do you stand in the results table for the year then?

Roadsports is just a series - no points, no overall winner.
Silverstone National: 1st
Brands Hatch: 1st (10s penalty)
Snetterton I: 5th (20s penalty)
Silverstone Intl: 3rd (10s penalty)
Snetterton II: 1st (10s penalty)

Good to see you continuing with success and the Z continuing with improvements . What are your plans for next season or is it too early to say ?

When is that? I may be on the island at the time, so if the weather is half decent might pop over.
