Hi All,
I purchased an E85, manual transmission, as a second car over a year ago and made a few minor adjustments based on some recommendations here. Just wanted to share my experience so far..
"Free" work completed at the dealership prior to purchasing due to negotiation: transmission fluid flush, pads and rotor replacement, valve cover gasket replacement, oil change, car wash.
I immediately replaced the stock antenna with a short one, followed by:
- new trunk struts
- oem trunk emblem
- replaced rfts with michelins, added portable compressor
- eisenmann race exhaust
- removed mid resonator, replaced with x pipe (sounds perfect)
- oil changes every 5-7k
- replaced one headlight back cover (fixed fog issue after bulb replacement)
- bmw code reader
- intake boot (had a mixing error code, no problems since replacement), had a leak in boot. 5 minute install, inexpensive part from SF bmw
To be honest, the expensive work wasn't needed and required maintenance, if smart, could have been done under $300 the past year. Tires and oil changes are cheaper than my SL500. Although I spent over a few thousand to get it where I wanted, it appears stock and runs like a champ.
Thanks all

Hi and welcome.
Good looking Z4 and you've obviously been busy. It sounds like you've already been bitten by the Z4 bug.
