It's just a thought, it would increase height by only 8m which is nothing. So I'm going either 225 45 18 or. 235 40 18 im thinking I'm gonna go 225 45 18 probably for that elusive comfort.

Indeed. So these are aftermarket ones you're selling?
Without the Et numbers 235-45-18 x 4 or 245-40 x 40 will work.
Or 255 35 18 x 2 & 235 4018 a option or 245 40 18 x 2 & 225 45 18 another :)
All i can find on all four wheels is 161 ES

This is a terrible game of internet charades :P
How about a pic of the wheels ? ideally showing how the tyres sit on rim & how the wheels sit in arches , if they are unknown aftermarket wheels its still possible to have a rough guess at the fitment numbers

Are you sure they are 8.5j wide not 8j?
If I was having a stab at the numbers they look like a square set up 4 x 8j & et somewhere between 40/44
You have 225-40-18s on them but your pal wants more rubber.
I see no issue going 245-40-18 on the rears & adding a 12mm/15mm spacer would increase the staggered appearance.
Fronts look OK as they are in your pic but if he must have more rubber he could go 225-45-18 or 235-40-18.
I like the wheels , not unlike my Veemann FS34 8)

Going for the https://www.camskill.co.uk/products.php?show=111405 and https://www.camskill.co.uk/products.php?show=111421 recommendation by a few on the forum within budget without going for the breaking the bank tyres
