Water ingress

Post by Striven » Sun Jan 13, 2019 10:23 pm

I have noticed a small dribble of water entering the passenger side about 8 to 10 inches back from the forward edge. Does anyone have experience of this? Know the cure? Currently getting the garage clear to keep it indoors but would like to trace the leak and fix it.

Have you checked the door membrane, behind the doorcard? My passenger side footwell became wet and it was because the membrane was ripped.

A new membrane, stuck to the doorframe with some butyl tape and it's been fine ever since inside the car.

If this does fix your issue, then I'd suggest removing the passenger seat and drying the carpet and foam fully, as it could well be completely soaked underneath the carpet.

Check the drain where the roof motor sits, if blocked that well can fill up and spill over.
