E46 coilovers fit e85 z4?

Post by silverdevill » Sun Jan 13, 2019 9:51 pm

Hi guys, as the title thread says, does anyone know if e46 (non m) coilovers bolt straight onto an e85 z4?
Many thanks in advance.

They’ll physically fit but the valving and spring rates are quite different - especially the rear

On a Z4 the e46 setup will make the ride quite stiff on the front and bouncy on the rear.... you’ll need either softer rear springs or be able to adjust the damping rate in the rear to make it better balanced

As above, the E46 coilovers will be set for a heavier car.
