Xenons Done - now Halo Question

Post by Gwest44 » Tue Dec 11, 2018 4:00 pm

Ok so I swapped out the headlight bulbs with the replacement Osram D2S Night Breakers but the effect has been to make the Halo lights look Orange.

Called Sytner who want £116 to replace both Halo bulbs which compared to the £285 they wanted for one headlight bulb replacement didn’t seem bad.

So it’s booked in for the 27th because I couldn’t find any aftermarket Halo bulbs but just wanted to check if anyone has a supplier for the Halo bulbs.

Can anyone help - believe the part number is 63127170858? Cheers

The ones BMW will fit will be just as pale as the ones already in there.

You need to put LED ones in there for a whiter/brighter light, but then you might have to code out the ‘light out’ errors you sometimes get.

The original bmw ones are poor, you can take the bulb housing out and replace with other bulbs or LEDs, its bit fidly due to location, but not worth paying bmw for theres or to replace

Xenons Done - now Halo Question

I got these for mine. They are 20w as opposed to the stock 10w and they have presented no issues. The halos are noticeably brighter and whiter and I searched high and low in the UK till I finally sourced these from Germany. They are the replacement for the stock which I could not find anywhere.

Here's the link. Goodluck!

There are instructions here for fitting and video on YouTube as well. You can DIY if youre patient. Quite rewarding if I do day so myself. I Say SO
