Price for 2006 Coupe 60kmiles

Post by theirishman2018 » Sun Dec 09, 2018 9:09 pm

Hi All

I'm interested in getting a Z4 coupe and I've found a 2006 model with 60k miles on the clock and it seems in good order with 9 months left on its MOT.

I find there prices are hard to judge with models priced quite highly and struggling to sell.

What would everyone think would be a good price to pay for a car like this? (appreciate its hard to judge with minimal details)

All feedback welcomed!

thanks

Loads of factors to take into account like you said but I would have thought around £9-10k with full service history (assuming it's not an ///M).

Seems to be a good time to be buying a coupe as prices have dropped a lot in the last 12 months. If you had of asked this a year ago would have said more like £11k.

Good luck with your search, they're money well spent for the fun factor.

Colour?
Servicing History?
What's the interior like? Seats in good condition?
Which interior? Is it the sailing boat timber dash / Piano Black / Aloominum as the yanks say / Something else?
Does it need new Tyres?
What's the bodywork like?
Any accident damage?

Difficult to guess without seeing the car.

It's worth whatever the person buying it is prepared to pay when the person selling it agrees with the price offered.

Prices of the hatchbacks are a bit higher. Must be something to do with the extra tin involved with the roof. Something to do with the scrap value or something!

The quickest way to get an answer would be to post a link to the advert!

People advertising good ones on here are struggling to find buyers, but I expect it's something to do with the time of year.

There are so many variables to be honest. Is it a Sport or an SE, manual or auto, does it have any options, i.e. Bi-Xenon headlights, cruise control, parking sensors, heated seats, Multi-Function Steering Wheel, upgraded stereo, etc.

History and condition will also be factors.

Right now I would think £10K would be the absolute top end for a really clean manual Sport with a few choice options.

BTW I've assumed it isn't an M model, so the above relates to a 3.0Si. (For an M start thinking of twice that value).

Take no notice of the Roadster owner BTW.

Well based on the ads I've seen the autos generally seem to have been a little cheaper - presumably because most buyers looking for an E86 want a manual. While I realise the UK didn't get many autos, they seem to be much less in demand going by WANTED posts.

60k miles is relatively low and this could justify a little extra. Its an earlier car, being a 2006, but theres bearly any value difference between the value of early and later Coupes. I've spotted the majority of Coupes l are positioned between 6k and 12k over the last 2 months. The real value of the one youre looking at will depend on its particular condition, service history and spec.
After a 2 month search, i just bought my Coupe. I would say its a buyers market right now, but a good one will be about 9k.

Right now i don't see the gearbox having any effect on values whatsoever , perhaps a manual would be marginally easier to sell but even that has failed to see decent examples at base value find buyers :(

I'd concur with the 9k argument.

I'd also haggle hard. Walk away and come back later etc. Demand for coupe's generally seems quite low.

As everyone else has said, £9k seems around the right mark. However, if it's high spec you might expect to pay closer to £10,500. Low spec examples closer to the £8k mark.

Yes, there has definitely been a bit of a slump in sales for all E85/86s the last month or so.

Maybe a good time to get a Coupe for the winter!

Ended up getting it for 7.5k hopefully haven't over paid.

It has 7 service stamps so not full history but cars in good shape inside and out with no damage to paint work etc. Clean no crash history

It has the sailing boat timber dash and new tyres, actually 57k miles on the clock not 60k

there are scuffs to the alloys though so they'll need refurbed

Thanks all for help, much appreciated!
