It has 7 service stamps so not full history but cars in good shape inside and out with no damage to paint work etc. Clean no crash history

It has the sailing boat timber dash and new tyres, actually 57k miles on the clock not 60k

there are scuffs to the alloys though so they'll need refurbed

Thanks all for help, much appreciated!
That's a good deal - I haggled very hard and got a clean 90k car with warranty for £7,900 about a year ago (list was £10k), so I think you've done pretty well.

That sounds like a reasonable deal if it's an SE, but a good deal if it's a Sport.

But if it has the woodworm dash I would guess it's an SE.

Anyway we like photos on here, so please post some.

Its the se model I was actually due to conclude the deal today (7.5k was the agreed price with the seller dependent on second viewing)

I thought it was a good deal until I realised there is a difference between the se and si models. Now I'm reconsidering, what to do what to do.....

Si refers to the engine type (i.e. 3.0 N52 in all UK Coupes).

Se and Sport were the trim levels that UK Coupes were sold in - Typical differences include: Seats (Sport or M Sport), Steering wheel (thinner vs M Sport), Suspension (std vs m Sport), Headliner (grey/beige vs anthracite), although many of the options could also be added individually to 'up' the spec of an SE model.

I'd suggest that seats are the only deal breaker in there - if you have you heart set on M sport seats then you ideally you don't want to have to go down the retro fit route as they are quite hard to find in good condition and expensive (maybe £600+). Suspension will likely need refreshing so it doesn't matter what it came from the factory with, and things like steering wheel are easy to retro fit.

Why not give us a link to the advert, and we can probably tell you what it does or doesn't have in terms of spec?

The advert isn't live anymore and I've only got a very dark far away photo from 1st viewing.

Time to think about it

thanks all!

SE or sport, that seems a bargain in my book. I would test drive a sport model before you buy though

Put the reg up here or go on the bmwvin.com that will tell you it’s spec

It’s possible the car is known on here maybe even a former owner or two

Bear in mind as well that some cars are misregistered as SE when they are actually sports.. also a lot of ex bmw staff cars that were SE’s are specced like sports

7 services is pretty good tbf in a 60k car it averages about every 9k

They can run 16k between services on the SID but oit oil should be changed every two years
