That said if it's not stolen, has no outstanding finance and you're handy with a spanner then at £1300 you can't go too wrong!
Its not a big dealership around 8/10 cars there. I can do the paint and wheels myself the thing thats putting me off at the moment is the headlights. I know they can be polished up but its hard to tell if there stained inside and there not cheap to buy.

That’s not strictly true is it? Not volunteering information isn’t the same as lying & reading the original post doesn’t reveal that the dealer was asked about its cat status.
If he had been asked but then denied any knowledge, that would be lying
Rob
I asked him today if he knew it was a cat d and he said no he,d never checked this. Previously to this i,d asked him in conversion where he,d bought it from? Off a mate he said. Some mate i said later on when i pointed out it was a cat d

Headlights do come up for sale on here from time to time - at £1,300 how much cheaper can a Z4 get?

Headlights would clean up. Worse case would be to split them to clean up the insides.

£1300 is pretty low. Go on you gut, and if not plann8ng to sell for a while might be worse the smallish risk.

£1300 is crazy money for a zed, as above, use it for a few years and you should get your money back when you sell it.

£1.3 is pretty good. Mechanically prob fine but a few areas obvs need attention. Nice winter project at the very least.

Some members are doing angel eyes so if you need to, can always split to remove any internal marks. The cloudy-ness can be polished out/off.

Well i took a gamble and got, Witch to me is what you,d pay for a half descent mx5.
Will need a bit of TLC but its time and labour rather than money.
I figure if i spend £500 i'l have a pretty good car, This will be the 3rd Z4 :D

thing is.. buying a cat d even if its fixed ok, you will then have to go through the questions and the looks when you come to sell it..
If you ever think I'm off my rocker.. Just put me back in it and walk away... It's the kindest thing

Great news - I hope it doesn't take too much TLC or expense.

That must be one of the cheapest Z4s yet!

If you pay £1200, spend a bit and get a couple of years of great driving then you've done well. At that rate it doesn't matter about worrying about selling it!

£1200 is banger money these days, you bagged a Zed which looks OK. At least you know it's a cat D, how many cars are out there with hidden damage. I bet many have bought cars and once home, you give it a good clean, then you see its had paint on some panels.

I wouldnt touch im afraid, what if after youve spent money getting it all sorted you decide to sell it on??
You will lose everything on it and youd be lucky to sell it on for even purchase price.. imo
