Projector headlights
Hello all,
I'm thinking of upgrading my halogen headlights with these:
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BMW-Z4-E84-E ... 1438.l2649
My question is, does anyone else have these and are they any good? I do like the look of them and the angel eyes upgrade they provide but are they better than the standard halogen headlights? My car also has headlight washers - would that prevent me fitting them?
Thanks!

I've not got them but I've seen enough posts about them on here to put me off getting a set.

Are you 100% sure yours are Halogen? Generally speaking, headlight washers are normally in combination with Xenon headlightsweeksyz4 wrote: ↑Sun Nov 18, 2018 9:50 pm Hello all,

Hmmm - fair enough lol. Maybe headlight washers was an optional extra. They are required by law for Xenons (hence why I said they normally come as a combination with Xenons)... but interesting to know they were available to non-xenon headlight vehicles - like I say, I'm presuming they were an optional extra then that could be purchased without xenons

Mine are halogen with washers, maybe part of a winter pack? As I understand it, if you don’t have headlamp adjust on the light switch panel then you have zenons.IAmOrion wrote: ↑Sun Nov 18, 2018 11:32 pmHmmm - fair enough lol. From memory all 3.0si facelifts came with headlamp washers.IAmOrion wrote: ↑Sun Nov 18, 2018 11:10 pmAre you 100% sure yours are Halogen? Generally speaking, headlight washers are normally in combination with Xenon headlightsweeksyz4 wrote: ↑Sun Nov 18, 2018 9:50 pm Hello all,

Best option, in my opinion, would be the TRS retrofit kit to replace the halogen projectors with Morimoto Mini D2S 4.0 units. I've just done this on my car with factory xenon's and even over them they're miles better. Can only imagine it'll feel like you've strapped floodlights to the car coming from halogens.
They sell a full kit including bulbs, ballasts etc too and probably a similar price to those headlights listed above, but for that you'll get some of the best xenon projectors on the market.

Just bear in mind that after market xenons are now a straight MOT fail if picked up on and could also get your car seized at the side of the road as they fall foul of Construction and Use Regulations. PC Plod uses this to get the boy racers off the road!
I'm not saying don't fit them, just make sure they look like OEM!
Edit: Those headlight assemblies you have linked to are fine, as they are E-Marked and legal to retrofit.

Thanks for everyone's replies.
I'm pretty sure my headlights are halogen. In the car, I can control the height of the beams, which I thought was only possible on halogen models.
Is it possible to swap factory halogens to factory xenons units and if so, does anyone know how hard is it to do?
