This morning i removed my gps antenna from behind the rear view mirror, the navigation was acting funny.
First is unplugged it but the navigation kept working, this confused me, but i thought it might connect wireless.
So i removed the entire thing. Strangely enough the navigation is still working:
The map exactly shows my car on the roads while driving. Also the gps coordinates on the right side of the map still update.
Am i missing something here?

Does the e85 sat nav contain yros etc to approximate the location when it loses GPS signal?

It's just picking up the sats from the internal circuitry (much in the way an iphone or GalaxyS does). The antenna merely adds about 10db of gain which is useful in built up areas etc.

Or perhaps the gps you removed is broken and has been replaced/ relocated to another area that's easier to wire too/ access!
