Bi-Xenon Halo Ring Plug/Cable

Post by Wolverine_1999 » Tue Sep 25, 2018 7:05 pm

Hi All,

I recently bought a used bi-xenon headlight for the facelift. Problem is, the halo cable is snapped (cut?) so the ring isn't lighting up.

Any idea where on Realoem I can find a replacement, or what type of plug this is? Here are some pictures:

The wiring plug a picture from the other side or do you have it just not attached? Where and how did you buy?

It's part of the internal light wiring. The plug picture is what goes into the connection in the bottom right of the first picture.

Used lights, I was just after the lenses. Fixing them up now to sell them on.

All I need to know is the plug type, maybe from another BMW? I can make the cable myself!

So it's a picture of the plug from the other side unit and you don't have a connector? Part number should be on it but they can be hard to source as they don't appear to be available as individual parts (from RealOEM). You'd have to try and find the (tyco?) drawings.

Yes correct, the only thing I see written on it is "AMP 23"

The other option would to just wire in the correct wires using electrical connectors, or "plugs", that go over each of the two metal connector strips

Two spade crimps would probably do the job.

Just an update - re-cabled with clamps and they working perfectly. Problem is broken bulb indicator on dash (incorrect resistance). At least the ring works, the indicator can be programmed out or correct cabling resistance must be used
