What is a Coupé Worth?
Hi All,
I'm new to the forum and looking to buy my first Z4 Coupé this Sunday (16/09/2018) I can't wait!
But I can't help but wonder how much a Z4 Coupé is actually worth and what sort of depreciation I should expect? Is £10,000 reasonable to pay for a good well kept example?
Any advice or insight what be greatly appreciated!

You would need to offer up a little more than that for a forum dissection of your intended model / year / mileage / spec / history / owners etc

It's an auto.... ewwwwwww
Cazana values it @ £10,487 which I think is being a bit generous. Prior MOT history looks ok. I think if its in good condition and the service history is good, then around £8,500 maybe £9k privately. That being said there are plenty of Coupes available for a lot less, granted they have more miles on them but with good history that wouldn't put me off, many are available from traders to which will give you a warranty of some sort.

No problem, and by the way welcome from a Coupe fan!
It looks black in the photos, but if it is blue it must be Monaco Blue, and it looks like it has a Pearl Grey interior (which I like, but then I've had 2 with that).
It looks like it has a some desirable options, Bi-Xenon headlights, rear parking sensors, heated seats and the Multi Function Stereo Wheel (stereo controls on the wheel).
And it is the Sport model so has the very desirable "M-Sport" seats, as well as non-standard CSL wheels (although they are usually CSL replicas).
If you can get the last 7 characters of the VIN from the seller you can check it's original specification somewhere like this:- https://www.bmwvin.com/
Coupe prices seem to be holding up pretty well, especially for low mileage examples like that - although being an auto. I'd say that's plenty. I know buying from a dealer may give some peace of mind, but I prefer buying privately as you get to meet the owner and can usually judge how they have looked after the car.
Anyway you can do a bit of a deal, the history checks out and you like it why not?
Good luck.

I'd also have a look here on the for sale section as been a couple there recently. I'd also look at a few of varying prices, miles. And as said above Private it dealer the car will tell the truth if you know what you are looking for. I'm in the trade and found the best value to miles privately. Also where are you based lots of peeps on here will always help to view with you.
Hope this helps.

They've stopped depreciating so much now, high mile SE at 5k, low mile msport 10k
You should only lose value as you rack up miles

Is it not midnight blue? Has a nice rear lip though. Split pearl grey interior is nice though.

Felt the 3.0 Coupe’s had been slightly appreciating of late, not mega bucks but following their //M brethren
Bing once had a 3.0si auto roady & was a mightily capable machine - was the reason I went auto in another brand
Good luck, as Coupe’s aren’t nearly as seasonal price wise as their roady sisters

Id say that was midnight blue , very nice unlike the front under lip & 18inch CSL wheels neither of which enhance the car imo
If all is good on viewing then anywhere between £8500 / £9000 would be fair to both parties .
Prefer this one for similar money even with a few extra miles on https://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified ... red&page=1

Thankyou everyone! I really appreciate the help and advice
I will definitely have a look in the forsale section, and the grey one on AutoTrader!
I can't say the CSL wheels or lip is my first choice but then I don't think the photos would do it justice either!

What is a Coupé Worth?
I'm another new member on the look out for a nice Z4 Coupe. No need for a new thread as this already touches on valuations.
I must admit that I'm a little lost where some people find their valuations. All the recent ones hitting Autotrader and Pistonheads are all more expensive that the ones not selling already. If they aren't selling they are too expensive.
The same cars are cycling over and over on eBay and Gumtree without selling. The people that have started auctions without a reserve never get anywhere near what they want.
I want and nice car and I'm willing to pay sensible money. It just seems as if a few dealers are trying to push prices up and it's influencing private sellers to follow. The prices are well above guide prices and a huge gap above what could be recovered by trading in. If I bought I top price car it would take months to find the next guy willing to do so when I come to sell. It seems risky.
What's the general consensus on real values and real selling prices?
