Anybody with a 2.0i in shouting range of me?

I have a 2.01 daily.

They are dreadfully underpowered although once you get going, they can be nippy if you use the gears properly. They were never going to be 'fast' cars anyway and as an E85 lover (my 3rd) I am prepared to forgive it

I do have my Z4MR SORN'ed in the garage though, for all that 'spirited driving' lark in the summer (Eyeroll lol)

For a daily with grunt, you're better off with at least a 2.5 Si if you can find one. They sound heavenly too! That was my first ever E85.

I think I could definitely do with the Vanos Solenoid clean/Replace.

So, is this something I can do at home or it needs doing in a garage? I know my DD 2.0 was never going to be a performance car but for a little car it should do better than its doing at the moment and its going in for its annual service about now but the garage is not a BMW specialist.

Can anyone recommend around Medway, Kent please?

Do at home - just follow the guides on page 1 of this thread. A sausage fingered drunken monkey could do it with one eye shut.
