New Rear Shock Absorbers

So after a recent visit to DLV, it turns out one of my rear shocks is leaking and so needs replacing. Im wondering what people recommend for both shocks and springs? I cant really go down the lowering path as theres far too many potholes and speed bumps near me, not to mention the bottom of the car often scrapes the lip of the driveway.

I am thinking the Bilstein B6 shocks - these seem fairly popular amongst forum members. But does anyone have any other suggestions? What springs are people using with the B6? Any online shops people would recommend for the best price?

Just replace with oem Sachs dampers from ECP if you aren’t looking to lower the car, or Bilstein B4s (if you can find any).

Depends on your use - I wouldn't put B6 just on the back. So either go B6 all round (if you want an updated shock) or as above.

Well, whatever route you go, changing them is the hardest part... fortunately someone posted a how 2 ... viewtopic.php?f=24&t=51205

Am a big fan of Bilstein & yes the B6 was my choice. Don’t think for a moment you’re getting something that has ultra heavy damping, the shocks not like that at all... introduces great composure without harshness.

Try to find someone with them fitted nearby, you should see what I mean quite quickly

I'd look to change the fronts, just in a few months time to spread the cost a little.
