If that is an early car on its original Sachs shocks then they may well be contributing to the low ride height. I have an '03 SE that used to sit very much like yours CHIMV8 until I recently replaced the original and VERY goosed shocks with a set of Bilstein B4s. It now sits 10-15mm higher. Do I care ? No because it handles and rides SO much better.

No knowledge of the car other than service history and comments from previous owner, and what i am slowly discovering over the last month sine i bought her

Taking in all your comments i have received on various threads, and going to change/upgrade/renew a lot on the car

Rebuilt over a number of years 2 TVR Chimaera's 4.0L and 5.OL and cant leave the itch alone

Never thought i would take to a Z4 but i have to say i love it

Have you a link to the shocks that you mention

They only have 2 sets of fronts and 1 set of rears left so be quick if you're getting some. They went so fast back in March when I got mine.

It did. My 326’s fit perfectly now and don’t rub the wheel arch on any bump while the wheels were turned.
Oh, and it drives better. :D

You will gain around 10mm in ride height after fitting new shocks. I certainly did after fitting a set of Bilstein B4's. MY Original shocks were completely dead.
