2008 drain holes??
Just in the process of checking the drain holes on my car I purchased yesterday, wheel arch panel off but can’t see the rubber bung thingy ??? Is the 2008 any different to the pre facelift? Seen loads of DIY’s but can’t see it? Maybe I’m being thick? Any help would be greatly appreciated as it’s on a jack and I can’t wait to get out driving it!!!!

No different, the bungs aren't easy to locate - I will post a pic showing the location

2008 drain holes??
Thanks Marlon! Think I’ve found something but it doesn’t look like the usual rubber bung, just a rubber hole.

You should be able to spot them pretty easily with the liner removed. They might have been chucked away by previous owner which is probably no bad thing! Here's Marlon's post from 2016... viewtopic.php?t=84474

2008 drain holes??
If you pour a little water down the side of the roof it will (hopefully) pinpoint the drain exit.
It’s probably more common for the drains to get blocked at the entry point rather than the exit, especially with the bungs removed

2008 drain holes??
I removed the rubber nipples on both drain pipes. If you leave the rubber nipples on the end of the pipe you are asking for problems as these pipes will build up with gunk and cause the water to build up around your convertible top pump on drivers side and cause water to leak into your boot on the passenger side. That is my opinion for what its worth. I got the dealer to install a new top pump when I bought my car 4 months ago and I hope to have the same pump working for sometime. This is one of the biggest problems with the Z4 cars.
