Hi!
I own a 3.0si Coupe produced in 03/2008 and I'm a bit worried after reading a lot about the DISA issues we are having. I thought about upgrading/changing my DISA and see lots of information on other variants but can't find complete cases on N52 models (mine is N52B30).
The reason of that is that there is no DISA problems on my motor? Is a DISA problem detectable with a ODB2 scanner?
I found upgrade kits for 3.0i but no specific info about compatibility with 3.0si.
Anyone with 3.0si N52 can provide info or advice on this?
Thanks!!

I had the same concerns as you when I had my 3.0Si, and did a how-to, years ago now. My conclusion was that it’s not an issue. See here : viewtopic.php?f=30&t=36349&hilit=Disa
That said, I may have read something on here recently about the DISA on a facelift car, but I can’t find it right now.

Thank you guys! Both answers leave me with peace of mind
Next step is to check the springs on next checkup and meanwhile I'll focus on some paint detailing work

My disa failed at 93k - I've just replaced it. Annoyingly I thought the failed unit was the inner one (the N52 has 2 disa units) so took the manifold off to remove it, only to discover it was the outer one. Serves me right for not checking the outer easier one beforehand!
Just to clarify though - the N52 disa will not pose a risk to your engine when it fails - the spindle doesn't snap so the flap won't go into your engine, it will just rattle noticeably, as mine did.
