Apologies if this has been posted before but this is a good video that illustrates the roof motor/drain hole design flaw in the Z4.

To all newbies watching this, there are people on this forum that can fix your roof motor a lot cheaper without removing the whole roof and can probably get your old motor up and running again. They will also relocate your motor to the boot so the problem doesn't reoccur.

In this video repair bill would have been very large with labour and a brand new motor and the problem will have likely reoccurred in a few years unless you regularly check the drain holes.
