Tyre pressure SOS

Post by ROBOTCOWBELL » Wed Jul 11, 2018 10:19 am

HI Forum, I bought my Zed 3 months ago and its starting to feel a bit bouncy - i think i need some air in my tyres but not sure what pressure i should be looking for. Can't seem to find my wheels online for the Zed and want to be safe rather than sorry. Any advice/help much appreciated.

Its a 2004 E85 with 19" 225/35ZR19 tyres. For 18" the web seems to suggest 33PSI up front and 36PSI for the rear. Does that sound about right?

Thanks again....

Have you looked at the standard tyre pressures on the driver’s door jamb?

Sounds about right. Use that as a starting point for your 19's. You can always add/reduce slightly as required. So long as it's not really low (20's) or high (40's) you're probably okay :)

Also worth noting that Z4's didn't come with 19's as standard... that's probably why you're not finding pressures.

Only use them if you don't mind waiting 30 minutes for all the other cheapskates to use it first  everytime I drive past my local sainsburys garage, it's full of cars queuing for it.

I normally go first thing (stupid o'clock in the morning so no queue) as I've got one on the way to work so I drive very sedate till I've checked the air. As the tyre pressures should be done from cold. Then I drive... normally :driving: lol

Tyre pressure was fine, it just started to feel a bit soft, popped to a garage and air pressure was as above, I must just have got used to the feel of the drive :D

You should get into a weekly routine of checking the engine oil, coolant, brake fluid levels AND tyre pressures. Safety first !
