Bluetooth pairing E86

Post by Djcla » Fri Jun 22, 2018 10:20 pm

Hey folks

I've picked up a coupe today which I'll upload pics etc very soon.. I have a question thoughi can't get the phone prep to go into pairing mode. I managed to get it to say Bluetooth pairing for about a second then it just says phone searching.... Is there a technique to this? Ignition off press button for 3 seconds turn key to the one jut before turning on engine for couple more seconds. Search on phone and nothing.. I've not even got to the part of finding the code I need.

Driving me nuts now, manual is clear but I can't get it into pairing mode. I'm sure BMW have made this overly complicated :(

After having the z4 for 18 months I finally got into pairing mode. Then i find I don’t have the pin...
Quick search on here tells me it will be on the module, so i take out the carpets find the module but there is no sticker on it aarrrrggghh....,

@keekodog The sticker on mine was on the back of it so not visible, I had to unbolt the 3 bracket bolts holding the unit in place

Found it by putting a mirror behind the unit
It worked once I realised the numbers were back to front... :?
