Hey everyone,

Now my question is how often do you all drive in sport mode? I am addicted to leaving it on sport mode & just turn it off in traffic. I know I use more fuel but just love the drive better, better throttle response & sharper steering plus more car pops & burbles more in sport mode with the mapping on it. Just wondering if other Zed owners use it a lot or maybe not use it very much?

Edit* mine is also the Auto

Very rarely use it, makes the throttle too sensitive and can’t really tell the difference on the steering tbh. One thing it should do though is retain the on/off setting between switch offs.

I think mine always defaults to “off” on start up?

The fun button, I use it when you get chavs trying it on and for a bit of fun. Makes the auto really come alive :)

I haven't used sport mode for months. It's pretty rubbish in a manual. It's terrible in stop start traffic, and on motorways it just means you don't have to put your foot flat to the floor.

I think it also does something with the electric steering.

If it gave extra power or firmed up the suspension, it would be great.

Never even tried it, in seven years. Don't recon I am missing much :driving: though interesting to read how several ///M owners prefer it for heel and toe blips. :D

I always have it on. I prefer the steering slightly heavier and find the more responsive pedal fine in traffic.

I’d prefer it if the steering was hydraulic though.

On my old 2.5si it was on all the time for the heavier steering.

On the ///M not very often.

It makes my throttle too sensitive on bumpy roads, which has been a royal nuisance. It's a shame as Sport mode drastically reduces the throttle travel required for downshift blips but I live with that so as not to have it kangarooing around at low throttle inputs. As for the steering...it still has that disconnected EPS feeling whether it's light or heavy do I don't find any major benefit from the heavier steering. If Sport button engaged a supercharger, however...

On all the time! almost all my driving is on white (on the map) B roads with very little town driving and no motorways in Norfolk! You should be able to code the default to on rather than off.

When I took my 3.0 roadster for a test drive I was underwhelmed (coming from a Focus RS) until I pressed the button then the car came alive - feels like it wants to be down the road now

Seems I'm in a minority. My start up routine is... engine on, sport button on, drive!

(agree about keeping it on at switch off/on... or at least having the option)

I don't find my fuel consumption any worse, I prefer the throttle response, the steering feels better and I personally find the exhaust note is sweeter. All or some of that may just be in my head though!

But then mine isn't my daily and so I only use for evening and weekend fun where I'm not sat in traffic.
