Hey all
I’m planning on buying a Z4 very soon if it all checks out. However I’ve encountered a bit of annoying issue and want to get your thoughts on how to proceed.
So car is z4 3.0 Si Sport - and has the sports steering wheel, m suspension and anthracite head lining which I’ve checked on the BMW VIN registry
The V5 states it’s a z4 3.0 Si
(with no mention of the Sport)
However when I enter the reg on all the insurance company website the car comes up as an:
Z4 3.0 Si SE
It also comes up as an SE on what car valuation website.
Question is, is this something I should be concerned about? The SE obviously has a lower valuation than the Sport.
And why would the car be showing up as an SE? Where do insurance companies get their model info from? And can it be changed?

Presume this is a coupe then.
Best to put the vin through a database checker. Not uncommon for V5’s to be incorrect though. Also possible that somebody spec’d Up an SE.
