Wheel Alignment Surrey/London

Post by SamP84 » Wed Jun 13, 2018 8:54 am

Hi all,

Enjoying my car but it follows bumps and camber like nobodies business.

Had Eibach springs fitted recently by previous owner. Good tyres with even wear and matching on each axle. No nasty noises and feels tight and good... just feels a bit terrifying on B roads.

Want to get alignment done to see if it helps, any recommendations? Or even alternative ideas as to why the car does this!

2006 3.0si m sport suspension with eibach springs and standard 18 wheels and tyres on non run flat. 88k miles.

Thanks all

Merrow tyres in Farnham are good - owner has had a normal Z4 and a Z4M - £30 each end to align, he asks what you want the car to do
Z4M - Interlagos Blue with Black Leather

Bargain!

Mine was £115 from Elite. Seems OK, but they seem a bit 'generic', rather than giving personal/individual service e.g the m3 csl alignment suggested in another post.

I asked whether they could do anything about the excessive negative rear camber (-2.5deg) and they just said all the alignments are green so are within spec.
Red Soft-top Sterling grey 3.0i - Z4M Front, Eibachs, Polybushed, Clear headlights, Triple clear spot rear lights, Shadow Chrome 107's, Sport MFSW, ZHP.

+1 for Hounslow though it was interesting getting on the ramp so they got me to do it! Chatted to the guy the whole time who didn't mind at all, keen and thorough.

Great news - I didn't know TWG did alignment!

For the last 4 years my BMWs have only ever been taken to TWG - highly recommended!

Yes, I had this too; I arrived there (admittedly with a Toyota!) and handed them the set up I wanted, based on a TRD set up. The guy looked at me and asked if I was after a more over-steery set up than standard, I said yes (I'd just finished a complete suspension rebuild so it was all out of alignment anyway) and we debated it until arriving at a half-way house kind of solution. They know their stuff but maybe you just need to speak to the right person...

At the other end of Surry as it's in Hampshire, but if Southampton is closer to you then I can recommend the appropriately named Wheel Alignment centre there. Again, the owner came across as someone who really knew his stuff and has clearly worked on all kinds of cars.
