they look superb, that's a brilliant piece of masking out you did there to get the 4 spots! :)
👍👍 I’m used to masking, done it most of my working life making fibreglass kids rides and luxury boats.

Couple cans of clear lacquer.

Job done.
Excellent, thank you. Will order some of each and find some decent masking tape. The cheap stuff I have in the shed leaves a sticky residue that is extremely difficult to remove.

I've heard of these before and was considering using them, but I've not seen many people using it... wanting feedback before I took the plunge. It looks similar to a vinyl wrap and not too sure if I'd balls up the application!

They look great Russ. Good to know that they can last without fading to orange once lacquered.

Will report back with pics once I have done mine. If they end up as good as yours I’ll be very pleased.

They do look good. The unpainted clears look so tacky/max power/ old lexus to me that they simply ruin a zed.

NOTE
It might be obvious, but after applying the red tint you UNMASK the round indicator bit and apply lacquer over the whole lot. If you don’t you will have a ridge around the centre clear spot
As I say it might be obvious but I forgot to mention in previous post.👍

Pretty sure I can see some orange coming through on those  that's why I swapped mine in the end.

Original pics were took on a dull day and the recent ones in sunshine, hence the difference.

But still orange, regardless. That's exactly how mine were aswell.

The original clear spot rear lights don't have any hint of orange to them, even in bright sunlight.

If that’s after four years though I would say they’ve done very well. I wouldn’t be too concerned at having to give them a top-up coat once a year, or even rubbing down and re-doing from scratch after three or four years.

All down to how many coats of red tint is applied I suppose, prob a few more coats would have given a denser look. While ever it gets through MOT I’m happy but I get where you’re coming from.

Yes, definitely. Mine haven't been done for a good few years and they only started fading a little at the end of last year, so the tint does last a good while once lacquered.
