Hi all,

Posting the procedure to install the aux radio input for the E85/83 models.

Hi did same with mine or should I say an auto electrician did the aux cable is direct bmw parts cost 63 pound

Great pics. The only problem with having it there is you have to have your ashtray open while its in use. The oem position is under the dash which avoids the problem.

Brilliant write up OP, and a really OEM looking installation.

Shame I won't be able to use it though because someone has already fitted it (with the input in the glovebox).

Like this setup. I’d need the ash tray open for the usb charging through the cigarette port anyway.

I did it in a Z3, also an M3 , both a long time ago and this was a great write up , now I may just do it to the M roadie .
