Coupe's in summer

Post by monkadill » Sat May 26, 2018 11:33 am

Just started to see an increase in Coupes on the road which is a surprise as the roadster tends to be the choice of summer..
Got me looking at buying a coupe and wow, there prices have held..

I've seen a surprising number of E85s with the roof up even when the weather's been great. Might as well get a coupe and enjoy the better looking car :P

Have to agree on the first point. First few weekends after the snow melted, every roadster had the roof down. 8) Last couple many are entombed in the cabin.

Their choice I guess.

Buy a roadster, then sit in that roadster with the roof down in 25+ Celsius, in traffic, with hardly any breeze.

You will soon want to put that roof back up

It's actually far more pleasant to chuck the air con on when it reaches that temperature (or above), which, for the south east at least, is usually most of the summer.

Early evening, down a country road is where it's at 8)

Maybe that is what the E89 is for? :)

I had a great blast down some country A roads through Cheshire and Shropshire one evening last week and was glad I had a Coupe - I wasn't hanging about so I'm not sure a Roadster would have been too comfortable. And the heavy rain shower I encountered would have been a PITA!
Coupes because stunning!

The nice thing about the Coupé is that you can have the windows wide open with no annoying thrum so 2/3 of a roadster?
