M-Sport wheel to standard

Post by bazza190 » Sat May 26, 2018 10:03 am

The previous owner of my car must have worn rings and the leather is worn in places. I was thinking of getting it retrimmed but have always thought it was just a bit too thick. Would a standard steering wheel work with my airbag? Or would I need the airbag as well?

TIA

Should be a straight swap. E85 and E86 all share the same basic wheel. So airbag will pop off, and back on.

While the M wheel is noticeably thicker I think the standard wheel is too thin. Happy medium? Royals wheel refurb? :)

Pretty sure you can get Royals to retrieved at the same thickness if that's your desire.
