Evening all! The E85 I bought a couple of weeks ago isn't immaculate, but I'm enjoying improving the car on an almost daily basis (I'll start a thread soon to document it). One of my next focuses will be to tidy up the front bumper and then paint it.
I've done some searching around this forum and the internet in general for recommendations on where to buy good aerosol paint, but found hardly anything. Has anyone bought any spray cans that worked well and gave a good colour match (particularly if Sterling Grey)? If so, I'd love to know where you got them please.
At this point, the DIY forum member often seems to be told just to take their car to a bodyshop. I enjoy doing my own work and have had good results on various body panels, motorbike fuel tanks etc. I'm doing it myself for more reasons than just to save a few quid

Aerosol paint - where to buy?
If you find a local car paints supplier, you will get a good match paint in aerosol. If you prep well it should be ok. The Laquer is the key to it all.
Or if it was me id take to a body shop!!!

Bog off I've never gone directly to a car paint supplier and wasn't aware that they'd supply a) in aerosol form or b) to the public. Sounds like a good avenue to pursue, thanks for the idea.Z4 COUPSTER wrote: ↑Wed May 23, 2018 8:51 pm If you find a local car paints supplier, you will get a good match paint in aerosol. Yep bud. Our painter uses regularly on some small touch-ups. Glad I could help.

Yeah it makes complete sense. Following your reply I emailed a small local bodyshop and they put me on to a local paint supplier. Wasn't expecting an instant reply at this time of night! Hopefully I can get everything I need to attack it over the long weekend. Cheers.Z4 COUPSTER wrote: ↑Wed May 23, 2018 9:25 pm Yep bud. Our painter uses regularly on some small touch-ups. Thanks. £13 per tin would do nicely.
