Roll hoops rubbing on roof liner with roof closed.

Hey all,

I'm pretty sure I already know the answer to this but do you have any clearance between the top of the roll hoops and the inside of the roof lining with the roof up as normal? The top of my hoops physically touch the liner and while that's not visible from outside the car, it does cause a subtle but annoying rubbing noise over bumps etc.

Assuming this is normal, has anybody added any thing on the hoops or liner to prevent any noise?

My lining does the same, it also slightly catches the hoops more when the roof is opening and closing

I would also like to know of any tips that might help this problem, maybe a tension adjustment or something

You can undo the liner from the roof itself from the front of the roof . There's videos on the web to show this. Once you remove this you will see that there's several screws that hold the inner roof to the outer roof. There's a plastic strip that breaks and allow the liner to drop.
