Retro fitting heated seats?

Post by Squadron Leader » Sun Apr 22, 2018 7:12 pm

I am buying an ‘04 3 litre Z4 but I can’t pick it up until Sunday 30th April. It has ‘M’ sport electric leather seats but not heated. Has anyone retro fitted heated seats and what is involved. I have the chance of buying a pair of heated leather seats and would like to snap them up before I pick my car up. But, if it is too difficult to retro fit I may think again.

Cheers,

Phil

Are the new seats M sport. Your car should be pre-wired to accept the heated seats, you will need the switch panel in front of the gear lever too.

If they are msport heated from a zed 4 then you should be good for a straight swap. You will also need a new seat heater/roof control panel which is easy to fit. Your current msport seats will also fetch a good price.

Ah thanks guys. The seats for sale are not ‘M’ sports. Is there much difference? Sorry for asking stupid questions but bear with me. I am just a newbie.

About 500 to 1000 pound difference depending on who is selling.
