What to do?

Post by For_Ice_Cream » Sun Apr 22, 2018 1:03 pm

So I collected my new Z4 2.2L SE (Black with black leather) on Thursday. It would be an understatement to say that I love it. Lovely smooth ride and just enough power to go with it.
It would appear other people love it to. Driving into work the next day and had at least 3 people I've never spoken to comment on the new motor. One of which had owned a zed in the past.

It's the best car I've owned by a long way and I'm looking forward to putting some miles through it.

Just wondering what people recommend by way of tweaks to a stock car?
Any thought's are appreciated!

Tbh there aren't many tweaks you can do bar.
Supercharging it.
Swapping seats for expensive ones.
Wrapping crappy silver trims.
Stereo upgrades.
Some nicer rims.
Headlight refurb goes a long way. Costs £16 And 2 hours of your life
MR-2 Turbo Rev2

Yep no Z yet. On the hunt.

Tyres make a massive difference to the ride. A new set with 8mm tread feels like heaven compared to tyres with a couple mm tread left.

If your car doesn't have 18's, get them. It instantly makes the Z4 look better.

Replace the suspension if it feels a bit rough. I recently did mine and it is so much better to drive.

Sport seats and steering wheel feel nice and add a touch of class to an otherwise spartan interior.
Red Soft-top Sterling grey 3.0i - Z4M Front, Eibachs, Polybushed, Clear headlights, Triple clear spot rear lights, Shadow Chrome 107's, Sport MFSW, ZHP.

I think I’m correct in saying pictures prove ownership! Let’s see it first! :poke:
In all honesty as Marlon said get some pics up and we’ll see what we can do

Yes, looking forward to the photos OP!

Another regular piece of advice is to swap to non-runflat tyres if it has run-flats on it.
Coupes because stunning!

Sounds like a dangerous question....

When I got my Z4 I was happy with almost everything about it (obviously excluded wheels) but since being in this site I’ve discovered more and more modifications and retrofits that I want to do

Btw, this thread needs more pics

Hi and welcome.

As said above, there are lots of mods that can be done, from a £10 stubby all the way up to a super charger.

Aero skirts, wheels, seats, suspension, the list goes on ........

The two most satisfying for me have been rewrapping the steering wheel and the zhp gear knob.
