Fuel Filter

Post by DaveZ4richardson » Sat Apr 21, 2018 9:52 am

I am preparing to have all filters and fluids changed before my trip to France in 7 weeks time, why can I not find a fuel filter anywhere, or am I being stupid :tumbleweed:

On realoem it’s shown as a repair kit containing the filter and pressure regulator, part no 16117197690
It doesn’t brake it down any more than that in the diagram so I wonder if it’s a sealed unit.
Seems strange to not have a serviceable filter.

None of the usual suspects have them even listed on their sites either.

You could try a dealer?

Apparently a 'lifetime' part, but Pelican recommend replacement every 60k to be on the safe side (sales pitch  ). Their instructions are on the ///M pages but I'm guessing the tank set up is the same for the e85/6's?

Edit - Apparently NOT a tank out job, but requires draining and a lot of work! Anybody ever felt the need to do it?

Hmmmm. That's a massive job. Looking like fluids, oil and air filter will have to do then.
