Reset the radio.
Afternoon all.
How do you fully reset the radio.
Even pulling the battery the radio still stores the stations.
I'm having issues getting my grom unit to reset (only displaying a mac address) and the stereo is stuck in some weird loop. I've yanked the battery for a few hours and the stations are still present... any ideas?
Thanks.
Matt

Reset the radio.
Hi
The instructions mention restoring default settings, but don't specifically mention programmed stations. Worth having a look if you haven't already though...
1. Press the music note button until "SPEED VOL" is displayed. (I guess it means press and hold...?)
2. Press the same button as often as necessary until "RESET?" is displayed.
3. Press the button under "ok" (the button next to programme 6 button).
That may not do it, but maybe there's something else in the menu that might.
good luck!

The one on the left, under the volume knob, with a picture of a music note on it.Monkeydonkeyratmagic wrote: ↑Sat Apr 14, 2018 4:54 pm None of that works. What music note button is that?

Reset the radio.
I believe the 'TONE' button is the same as the '♪' button.
There are slightly different layouts/symbols on the Professional/Business/Nav radio units.

Reset the radio.
Tone button doesn't do anything. Holding any button for any length of time doesn't bring anything up.

Ah... just assumed you had the usual Business CD like most people, not the nav set up.

Reset the radio.
For nav, the hidden menu is accessed slightly differently:
Select radio as source
Turn the Radio OFF
Turn the Radio ON
Press and hold the SEL button for 10 seconds (you get into the hidden menu).
Use the < and > to navigate the hidden menu
I think reset to defaults is in there somewhere.
