Front number plate mount removal

I was looking for a front plate solution too and in the end opted for a vinyl plate

Fully road legal (in Ireland) as it's the same size, font, and has a reflective backing (as well as EU flag etc)

Is this magic? I see no magnets :o
you don't even need magnets anymore - these stick to any surface

https://www.staticplates.com/
Not according the the manufacturer they don’t. Also not recommended for everyday use, and they aren’t road legal.
OK most surfaces, there's not any unsmooth surfaces on a bumper where you'd put a numberplate is there

From their website.

This product is not suitable for ceramic coatings, as the coating is designed to not allow anything to adhere to the surface.

What did you do for the MOT? Would it not need to be attached for that? I'm considering the magnet option.....I'd be too worried about not having one on the front! Any reason to be pulled over around these parts....

Are stick on ones (self adhesive types) ok and legal?
By that I mean the sticker types rather than normal plastic with double sided tape.

As long as they are reflective, have the name and postcode of where they were issued below the reg, and BS number in the right hand corner.

whilst technically true, I think it's one of those grey area's where most police officers won't bother with you if you aren't/they aren't being an idiot.

I see plenty of mis-spaced reg plates, even some where the police car has been directly behind the vehicle with the dodgy plate, yet they don't seem to bother pulling them for it. I suppose they have more important things to be doing with their time.

A friend used to have a classic subarea impreza with a stick on front reg, situated on his bonnet. Never had problems with it. It's one of those 'do at your own risk' sort of things.

Do you have trouble getting on ramps with your front lip and skirt extensions?
I thought about fitting some but I can only just get on ramps as it is, it is lowered.

I changed back to stock suspension (not that different at the front actually) and it’s still an absolute nightmare. The only problem is the front splitter, it’s the lowest point in the car, and I have to come to a complete stop to get through most bumps.

I just can’t bring myself to remove the kit... it looks so good!

All depends on where you are what sort of person sees the car. I was driving in North London and got pulled for not having the separation space in the number plate. Guess I was unlucky and the guy was on a power trip...

Oh yea definatley. I live in a very rural area and have done about 800 miles in the last year so not exactly on the road much!
