At that price, I caved. Should arrive tomorrow... hopefully not a tub of earwax.

OK, here's my review.... As a preface I wanted to make sure no other products interfered with the finish so I did a basic detail prior to applying with a DA polisher and EX 04-06. It's superior to just claying the car, and gives you a 'clean' base layer for the product.

Pro's...
Very easy to apply.. you have to be careful not to overload the pad (usually included). Just a light wipe into the tin and it kind of goes slick and liquid as you apply. On dark colours you can see quite easily where it has been applied. On lighter colours it might not be so easy.

I love the fact that you don't need to pay too much attention to plastics (washer jets etc). If anything, it enhances them! You can do the whole car and then take a short breather before removing.

Wipe off is very easy. It's up there with the best in terms of speed of application and removal. Just make sure you have a good microfibre.

Cons...
My Z4 is Monaco Blue which is probably the hardest colour to get a big 'pop' in terms of shine. It didn't seem to do much in terms of shine after the quick detail but it was a cloudy day and the light was very flat....

I guess the machine polish gave a pretty good finish anyway, so pretty hard to improve on. One thing I did notice is that the following morning I had a quick wipe over to remove any dust that had settled on the car overnight and I felt like there was a lot of friction on the towel. Certainly didn't feel glass-like slippy like I was expecting.

I came away thinking there had been quite a lot of hype with this product. Yes, very easy to apply and remove but the friction thing..and how long would it last remained a concern???

The same day, I had to go to BMW to pick up some bits for my E46 M3 and suddenly the sun came out and lit up the side of the car.

It really glowed like probably I've never seen before. Liking that.

Conclusion...
It has to get a commendation in terms of application and removal. No white marks, I can't see how any other product could be quicker. I'm unconvinced by the 'feel' of the finish afterwards. Most of the other products I've applied feel super slippy afterwards... this doesn't?? I haven't had the car wet yet so can't comment on beading etc. I'm expecting it to be good but my big concern is longevity. Time will tell.

The above post has convinced me to jump into the Harley Wax frenzy. At £12.99 I couldn't refuse.

Interesting study in the "power of the crowd".

I will post pics when I've done one of the fleet - probably the Discovery first, but don't hold your breath. Too much going on in my life right now!

Great write-up. Sounds like it has a lot of the characteristics of a decent silicone-based sealant though. Easy on/off, low volume, super hydrophobic, good gloss but not much “pop”, slightly tacky feeling. It’s the latter characteristic that makes me want to switch back to a harder (paste) wax - any kind of fine dust in the air (or Saharan rain!) sticks to the paintwork and won’t come off until the next rinse.

Done my Z with this wax , not sure I like it ........... never been one for keeping a car clean ! But decided the old girl deserved a good clean. So clay barred her , AG paint restorer,AG polish then the Harly Wax.! She looks amazing however coz I have actually looked I’ve now seen every scratch n dint , even found evidence of filler and re spray on the front wing that I’ve never noticed in 2 and a half years !!
So whilst she looks super shiny I’m now feeling a bit pi**ed off
