Harly Wax, fantastic

Post by RickRob » Mon Apr 02, 2018 8:25 pm

I a man currently resisting this as I have over a year's supply of waxes, polishes etc. etc.

However, I may be tempted by pictures of shiny black. :P

On a related note just ordered a pack of wet and dry 3000, 5000 and 7000 grade. Having watched a You Tube video I am am now just growing the cojones to remove the scratch that runs down the entire length of the near side of my Zed. Will need some good polish after that!

On my iPad I just saved the images and the rotated 180 degrees and then posted. Not sure how you managed to post pictures upside down in the first place!

Is it worth spending £20 on wax for an E89 as it'll still be really ugly?

OMG...did I really just fall for all this hype?!?!
What the sh!t is wrong with me - I'm NEVER so easily influenced. When people say go left, I always go right....and fall into the water
In any case, a tub is winging it's way to me from amazon.de €22 +postage.
Hope it's worth the hype....

Sorry to be a spoil sport for the easily led group. I did some reasearch and went for the Bilt Hamber stuff.

Not sure if I will still be allowed to come to meets etc with this wax on my car.... :? :D

I have a tin of the Bilt Hamber double speed wax on my shelf. Used it about 4-5 times, can’t say I’m massively impressed. Goes on easy enough but i’m not getting much depth of shine from it.

Looks great! I have caved and ordered some too - never waxed or polished a car before, nor used clay - time to start after seeing all the super pics....

I have both BH waxes. Finis is superior (though it does cost a bit more) and it is worth using their cleanser polish before hand.

The harleys stuff does look good though. Will give it a try next time a car needs waxing.

The car went through a 3-day detail before hand so completely swirl free, umblemished substrate. I've tried it on top of Black Hole too but I got a little bit of clouding that took a lot of buffing off and seemed to come back the next morning (temp / humidity dependent).

The Harley wax will be going on in next couple of days so will report back with honest review.
