maybe,? maybe not.? I like the Audi laminate better but still go for the old high gloss polished walnut or maple.

my pals '06 has a beautiful wood trim and I keep threatening to steal it and put some class into my Z4M R, not a fan of the "greaser" look, black leather is boring ... and hot.

To each their own I say
Sold the Z4 M Roadster and a 911 Carrera S now I have a 2021 Z4 3.0i

Not really.

I've owned some older Jaguars and Jensens that had extensive veneer in the interiors and was great - but I agree that it looks a bit out of place in a modern BMW.

Having restored a Jag Mk 9 including the extensive wood, we should be thankful it isn't found much in modern stuff - my fingers ached for a week after hand sanding everything!

wspohn, it was well worth the effort - your dash looks fantastic.

I've always loved these ever since my uncle borrowed £50 from my Mum (his sister) to buy one in the late 60s. It was a grey one with red leather and had a cocktail cabinet in the rear, but it was rotten as a pear so didn't last long! :( But I'll never forget being a passenger in it on a spirited drive - it sounded great and felt like a rocket-ship. Mind you my Dad had a Hillman Minx at the time, so I suppose it would!

BTW I just read your signature - you seem to like MGAs! A mate of mine bought one last year with a works hard-top, MGB engine bored to 1950 cc and tuned a bit and fitted with a Ford 5 speed box. It's a lovely car!
Coupes because stunning!

Yes, MGAs have featured in my car hobby for a long time.
