BMW Z4 3.0i iridium spark plugs

Post by JSz4 » Sun Mar 11, 2018 11:42 pm

Just had an Inspection1 service and told I need new spark plugs, cars on 93k.

I read a few old threads on here suggesting NGK Iridium spark plugs are a good choice, firstly is that still the general consensus or are there other brands or models worth considering?

Secondly what is the correct part number and were is it recommended to buy from?

Cheers Jeremy

How did they tell and why not let them do it while it was in?

I can't give you the part for yours but have a set of NGK Laser Iridiums ready for when I swap mine out.

Mechanic just said that they need replacing, didn't specify why but I trust him. Last bill I found for plugs in the service history was dated 2012 so I imagine they're due a change. Mechanic can supply parts but normally lets me know so I can decide what I want.
