I've just been notified that I've got a bonus.

Which is strange as I'm a contractor, and the included link for a breakdown is locked to staff members only, but I'm not going to look a gift horse in the mouth :P

It's not enough to fund a supercharger, but will pay for my seats

So a long night of getting the 330 brakes on. Ended up almost in tears getting the carrier bolts off and just stuck the socket in and wolloped it with a club hammer and they came spinning off.

All heat shielding and cosmetic trims underneath and in the engine bay are off to allow for fitment and exhaust removal. Prop shaft coupling will be changed soon. Assuming at the moment the exhaust has been changed in recent years. The nuts on it are probably the cleanest part of the car.

Eyeballing vanos refurb as well.

Good stuff. Can't wait to see how yours turns out.

Have you given any consideration to damage protection at the rear at all? Just thinking if someone does you up the arse the damage could be very expensive.

I'm hoping my 3 day job will be easy. Day 1 strip the entire front end off.
Day 2 install and commence operation humpty dumpy. Day 3... cross fingers and go on the hunt for an s3 chav.

I will be making a big care around the Turbo at some point. I don’t do many road miles. About 10,000 in 4.5 years. And it is tucked under the car. Not really a lot different than having a SC right at the front. I don’t thing there is much that can be done about it really.

Mine should be done the end of April. I am both scared and excited as its now booked for the ECU.

So... its on and running.

It's / was a lot faster...

Outdone a 17 plate Golf R. Which is what was I aiming for.

It ate the clutch. Just goes into gear and pops back out and stalls now.

Clutch and...unfortunately DMF ordered.

Fun to be had again soon.

Highly recommended to any 2.5 owners and I'm sure 3.0s are pretty ballistic with this kit.

It's not fun to fit and will bring tears of agony followed by joy.

Advice for anyone seriously thinking of doing it.. just strip the front off as much as can be done, all ancillary items the lot.

Once the clutch is in hopefully this weekend will make a video of it up against my friends Golf R 310PS.

Sorry to hear you need a new clutch and DMF, but it sounds like you’ll have quite a best when it’s all sorted :D

This is something I’d love to do to mine sometime in the future. I’m looking forward to the video when the new clutch has been fitted :D

Yep.. 130k clutch was never going to go well. I did anticipate it'd go very quickly or put up and shut up forever.

An added bonus is I get to do the prop shaft coupling when I do the DMF and exhaust has to come off anyway. It's pretty shagged at present. May give me an extra 0.1s on the 0-70 traffic light GP. 8)

Didn’t fancy a single mass and lightweight flywheel really makes the engine come alive

Glad your happy with it and it’s all in and running. Shame about the clutch but as you say after 130k miles and the extra power it’s no great surprise!
Well done that man

Not sure if it fits with the e85 setup but could you not use the slightly bigger 240mm clutch from the e46/e53 instead of the circa 225mm zed jobbie. Might help with that extra umph.

Please put some videos of your car up vs your mate’s Golf R, once your new clutch and DMF are installed.

I’m intrigued to see how it pulls.
