Your just not driving fast enough! - I collected a set of tyres for one of my lads from Falkirk and was back in a day using a people carrier - from Norfolk! Nice midsummer blat down the A9 during the long light days - early start; breakfast (check the thread details for Durham Dave)while Dave moves the motors and home for tea

Roof motor relocation
I travelled up from Essex with Stuartt & combined Durham Dave's motor relocation service with a great road trip, Visit to the hartside café & a drive across the Yorkshire Dales made it a journey to remember

Roof motor relocation
I did it in a day from Preston - Durham Dave did the relocation in no time and I met up with CherryM and went for a blast over the tops - great driving roads, finished off with lunch and a natter before heading home
That was before other members closer to me such as Ducklakeview offered the service.

The a9 is the worst, ever since the dualing and the average speed cameras it's painfully slow. I'm sure we got from outside Manchester to Perth in the same time from Perth to InvernessCrazy Harry wrote: ↑Tue Mar 06, 2018 9:11 amYour just not driving fast enough! - I collected a set of tyres for one of my lads from Falkirk and was back in a day using a people carrier - from Norfolk! Combine it with one of the Borders runs maybe?

Any recommendations for someone near Surrey that can do the relocation?
I did PM bowser134 about a week ago, but not heard back yet. Not sure if that is a PM issue or he is otherwise not around.

I would try to give it go myself, but with the Photobucket changes, a lot of photos have disappeared from old threads. Did anyone save the old threads offline?

Roof motor relocation
There is someone at Maidenbour near Crawley that did mine last year. I cannot remember his name but did post up about it at the time. Did a really good job for £60. I am sure you can find details on the various threads about this

Probably Marius. He's from around that area I think.
Actually a nice guy who know's his stuff. But he has a bad rep on here, for some reason.

I don’t think he helps himself reading some of the inflammatory posts I’ve seen

I posted a couple of links on the previous page. Not sure if they will help at all.

Yes I looked through those links.
Turns out that Ross had replied, but I had forgotten which email account I had linked to Z4-forum. Although I could do it I'm not a small chap at 6'6" and only just fit in a Z4 normally, so best I get someone who knows what they are doing.

Ross just did the job today in less than an hour. Glad I got someone to do it as I wouldn't have had the right tools to avoid damage.
Relieved on the timing as well. The insulation around the motor was dripping wet, although the motor seemed in pretty good condition. Ross is sending me the cover as he had ran out, at which point the mod will not be detectable.
Definitely recommended.
