PLANS
So having recently upgraded the front brakes to 325mm, March will be bringing a Royals wheel and DLV will be giving the vanos a service . All straight forward but the reason for the post is the time old question of seats I have the SE seats and i havent got the patience to wait an eternity for a set of msport seats to turn up. E46 msport seats look ok but i think they look a little bit too chunky.
So i what do people think about this sort of seat in a zed?
http://www.sportseats4u.co.uk/auto-style-type-t-eco-sport-seat/prod_735.html
I would need to buy the frame for the runners.
I am interested to know if there are any other seats out there that are a direct replacement for a zed.
let me know your thoughts peeps and i accept that this wont be everyones cup of tea.

They look nice, but a bit track-focused with the slots at the top of the backs for a harness!
People have reported Mazda RX8 seats as a good alternative to E46 Sport seats, which certainly do look a bit chunky for a Z4.
Looking forward to seeing what you do go for.

Cheers Mr T, i have seen the RX8 seats and they look good but they sit low i believe which means the runners have to be modified which i dont have the tools or skills to do
I know what you mean about the slots and will take that into consideration if i go that way

Shame about the RX8 seats, but I wouldn't mind being low - I tend to have BMW seats on the lowest position I can get them so my head isn't up by the roof!Rusky wrote: ↑Sat Feb 24, 2018 10:55 pmCheers Mr T, i have seen the RX8 seats and they look good but they sit low i believe which means the runners have to be modified which i dont have the tools or skills to do

E46 Sport seats definitely look a bit too "arm-chair" - I noticed this today when the buyer drove away in my 325ti Sport!
To be honest if I went for the seats in your link I'd want to put in harnesses too - but that probably gets you into coding issues. Although they do look very purposeful.
Looking forward to seeing what others think, and what you decide in the end.
It's just a shame Z4 M-Sport seats are so expensive - they'd be the best option by far!

What about s2000 seats?
I like the s2000 seat but are they a straight bolt in swap?

I know absolutely! You could almost buy a set in black and have it freshly retrimmed in a leather/colour of you choice for that. He can't even claim London pricing, he's up north!Yorkie Z wrote: ↑Sun Feb 25, 2018 9:36 amHolly s**tMACK wrote: ↑Sun Feb 25, 2018 9:26 amWow! £1,500 for M Sport seats, with some wear!
