Code reader in Sheffield area? :)

Post by synthedup » Fri Feb 23, 2018 9:37 am

Hi all, so after spending £1,450 on Tuesday sorting some bits I have now got a faulty throttle body.

I plan to get one this evening and fit it but I will need the code clearing.

Does anyone in the Sheffield area have I could use :D :D

Many Thanks!

If you have just spent £1,450 then another £90 for Carly (from Amazon) shouldn't be too much of an issue! Very easy to use.

Alternatively the Bcables.com kit is very reasonably priced but you then need a laptop to install the software on (INPA prob easiest to reset codes).

You're right, i could order one and get it next week.

However I am driving 250 miles tomorrow morning to help fit a fellow members new piano black dash set and wanted to get the new throttle body fitted this evening, remove the codes and test drive it ahead of the long drive.

Don't suppose your coming N. Yorkshire way (Harrogate)? Be happy to clear them for you if you are.

Hi
I don't have a Carly, but have a Creator C310+ BMW code reader that could well delete the code if you want a try.

I am in Rotherham near Junction 31 so presumably not to far away.

Hi Mick, that's not far at all :)

I will actually be driving past junction 31 on the way back from picking it up.

Super cheeky here, do you have a 10mm socket and a flat blade screw driver? if so i could fit it at yours and then try and clear the code? I will bring beer tokens
