ML aren't the cheapest and my views are very similar to the guy above, poor customer service and long waiting times and nearly stealer prices!

I wont be going back, they have lost there way IMO plenty of better specialists around at much better prices.

Bear in mind that BMW have cheaper rates for older cars on servicing .. think the rates drop at 4 years then again at seven years

So not as expensive as you’d think
How much did you pay?

Inspection 2 is £429 online and a brake fluid change is roughly £60. Which thus totals £489 give or take...

These reviews from the last few months (Google reviews) sum it up for Munich legends

Jonathan Mills

As unprofessional as they were this time last year.

I had called and discussed the work required with Stuart. I cleared stated what needed to be accomplished. To be fair Stuart was very professional on that phone call and quoted me a price. When I called back today to book the work in I didn't get to speak with Stuart and somehow what was previously agreed was no longer possible and would end up costing me more. The person I spoke which was difficult, patronising and quite frankly rude, seemed to be spoiling for a fight and advised me to go elsewhere to get the work done...... wow. You deserve less than one star but as this is the lowest possible that's what you get. Round of applause for that guy!!!! Yes I will book in with a professional BMW garage as dealing with you each occasion has been painful.

Charles Symmons

Terrible service

I would strongly advise staying clear of this establishment. I left my partners pride and joy with them and the car was recorded on her phone app doing over 100mph. I wouldn't mind if the car had a fault that required it to be tested at these speeds but it was booked in for a routine check!

Terrible service

Rip off, check parts prices first, also not very friendly to deal with, alternative very good bmw specialist alternative called CPC based in amersham, much better service and great value for money, stay away from Munich Legends overpriced clowns,

Having had a bad experience with Munich Legends, I cannot recommend them. Any claim they are the best independent BMW dealer in the country is laughable. However, the things they are good at include not doing what they say they will do, not doing things properly, missing glaring problems, overcharging for simple jobs, telling you things are much more complicated than they actually are, not doing things on time and being surly and feeling they are beyond any kind of criticism.

There are much better independent specialists out there. I wish I'd found them sooner than ML.

A few of those points above haven't clearly been rectified since I went last over 3 years ago.........

Back in the day when there wasn't many specialists around I think they used to be excellent, but times have changed and more specialists are around and they haven't kept up with the competition!

Thanks for the list, I’ve heard good things about BMS and ETA Motorsport.

In regards to those reviews you’ve posted I’ll take them with a pinch of salt as the amount of 4/5 star reviews outweighs these by quite a margin.

As previously stated I’ll post my own review after the work has been completed.

Sounds like their success has gone to their heads and their customer service and workmanship has gone out the window! I guess its got to the point where if you want to pay main dealer prices and get sh!t service you might as well go back to the main dealers!

I'm steering well clear of ML. They had my car last year to repair the ABS motor.
I said I needed to be contacted via email as I was out of the country, but I got nothing.

They repaired the ABS motor but didn't bleed the system right. I had to go back and get it done again. Considering they dropped the car off they should have spotted this.
They also snapped a bleed nipple off the front caliper and replaced the whole caliper without asking my permission first (charged me for it too).
They also missed sections of the car when washing it (I don't normally let garages wash my car).

So in summary:
Communication crap
Workmanship dubious
Washing dubious
Cost not cheap

That's my 2p

Motor in boot. Bilstein B8 dampers. New radio, much better sounds

I've only been to ML once, to drop off some Eibach springs for another forum member.
I went in my Z, parked out the front, struggled in with a big box of springs while 2 members of staff just watched, and when I got to the service desk I was spoken to as if I was something they'd trodden in.

I left and never went back. I use Walkers Autotech, who aren't the cheapest, but they look after all 3 of our cars and I trust them.

I live just a short drive from Munich Legends near Nutley and called in least weekend to have a look at the cars. Certainly some nice classics in the showroom and a Z4M coupe outside. However non of the cars had prices displayed and the person on reception didnt have a clue about the cars and wasnt particularly interested. My friend said he thought it was a dodgy setup and if he was in the market for a BMW he wouldnt go near the place. Do all my own servicing thankfully and just couldnt fathom the prices quoted although that may include a high class escort girl .

Walkers did my front control arms, no issues at all apart from not being the cheapest. But good reviews.
Bit of a pain being so far away for me though.

A bit steep or about right?

I got quoted £300 for all the above so going with that

It’s your car so your choice buddy.

You asked people’s opinions and have them so it’s your choice, I hope they don’t let you down.
